A pair of type systems composed of non-proportional, fixed-width glyphs, all of which allow for justified ‘shrink-to-fit’ settings that can fill the proportions of any layout or grid. Rather than adjusting inter-character spacing, justification* is achieved through the expansion or contraction of character widths. Each set can operate independently or as part of a system of contextual alternates, scripted to create dynamic columns adjusted at will. The page, frame or screen functions as a responsive field of typographic density, using width variation alone to articulate structure, rhythm, and emphasis.
